Petz,

Folks like best buy are doing $200 rebates on AThlons.

Decent Celeron Notebooks are now running sub $1K.

And folks have inventory and demand has fallen off the log.

Oneconnect does a weekly online survey, and sales imploded in last few weeks.

I think that the fake CPUshortage in Q2/Q3 led folks like CPQ to order tons of parts.

And them come Mid Q4 somebody said Holy Cow Batman - no sales, mucho inventory. And they start cancelling.

I think 3-4 weeks inventory is normal. 12 weeks is a disaster.

You will note Intel and AMD pointedly refused to discuss Q1 outlook. If its grim - mid Jan could be the time to buy in.

regards,

Kash
