Frank- Thanks for the comments above. Not being a telecom engineer, this is all news to me as of your post. I hadn't realized the importance of legacy in the delivery technology until recently. That's why I was stunned at WINfirst confession they were building a parallel HFC plant up against their FTTH plant. Now it's all making more sense. -MikeM(From Florida)
