Great story, Doc--My take on Monday The Court did not rule the day of the hearing. That would have been insane. Careful discussion and agreement is the order of the day. The Court is going to take decisive action in the next couple days. They are not going to leave a lot of wiggle room after their upcoming ruling. This is the time for action, not evasive behavior. I believe that the Court is going to make sure neither party returns to its hallowed ground. I generally have the utmost confidence in the Court to steer the nation in the correct path. Sometimes it is slow to act. Witness desegregation and its weak words of "with all deliberate speed." Sometimes it acts poorly. Witness retriggering the death penalty in our country. But frequently it takes bold action when necessary. Roe v. Wade. Here? I hope! We need some clarity to unravel this chaos. /john
