actually when i thought about it, you may be right about lowering starting salaries (DON'T agree about lowered demand aytime soon tho)... they will pay as little as they think they can get away with and to tell the truth i have no idea what starting salaries are nowadays as most of what i was speaking of was people with significant experience that goes with a premium since companies are anxious to keep these people around....
perhaps 'til they get the newer, cheaper people well trained and then they can lay off/buy off all those expensive folks like IBM has done in the past.. i'd be happy to get laid off with a nice package and go to work in a gas station maybe for a change. <g>
