If it was up to me I would say single dimples should count for everyone providing there isn't another chad for the same office fully punched out (then count the one fully punched out) or if the voter didn't write something on his ballot to indicate he wanted to vote for someone else besides the dimpled chad. I don't see how a mark from a stylus could get on a card with no other marks for the same office unless the voter intended to vote for that candidate. I think it should be clear that if a chad is only dimpled that the mark was made by a stylus otherwise the dimple shouldn't count.

I think Gore and the rest of the democrats in Florida would be glad to recount under your rules though.
