I2: This is a great topic and I have participated in
discussing this. I do believe we reach an age of accountability, yes, this is a very difficult subject. The I will do some research on this subject,in my Bible, and get back to you tomorrow. King David referred to his infant son going to Heaven in 2 Samuel 12:19-23. This is used as an illustration for losing a young child.

The footnote referred to:
Psalm 16: 9-11
Psalm 17:15
Psalm 139
Psalm 40:1

More after my research.

Good evening I2
I am surprised that nobody seems to be aware that the age of accountability has it's root in the story of Israelites who refused to go into the promised land.(Num 14:26-) God made them wander in the wilderness until everyone who was twenty years and older, died. For some reason God drew the line at nineteen years of age. Jewish children are considered to come of age at twelve years old. This is also the age at which Jesus went into the temple. Perhaps someone with a Jewish background might shed some light on why twelve is significant. Twelve tribes, twelve apostles, ??? Each and every human being is stained by the sin of Adam from birth, and stands in need of the redemption that can only come through the blood of Jesus Christ. The bible says this is received by faith alone. Some believe that a child can be granted this faith even in the womb like John the Baptist. Others believe that original sin is removed through baptism. While still others believe that God extends His grace to only the children of the elect, and others believe that all children under a certain age go to heaven regardless of faith or lineage. The bible is largely silent on this issue and that is why you have such a wide range of opinion on this matter. I'm sure I missed some but I hope this helps.
God Bless
Have a good day
Greg
