Michael, are you into dead Irish poets? Yeats had this right, it seems:

TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

I just can't figure if he was referring to the markets or the election. <g>

MB -

DB 09:17 U.S. CHAIN STORE SALES INDEX OFF 0.3% IN LATEST WEEK: BANK OF TOKYO-MITSUBISHI.

The Bank of T-M must be practicing due diligence w/r/t to its gold reserves by keeping track of the sales of U.S. gold chain stores.

Regards, Don

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the great CEF write-up. I'm curious what happened to IAF and FAX - you were very hot on them 4-6 months ago. Did the discount shrink reducing their appeal? I own some myself and their prices haven't moved very much.

TIA,
Dave
