Mostly what I heard them talking about was lack of uniform standards and standards evolving during the counting/ voting on votes. Whether a chad completely punched out represents a valid vote or not is a technicality. Some Republicans know their way around stats and probability and would love to see all of Florida counted under a uniform standard so that Gore could finally be convinced in his own mind that he lost and this fiasco could end. It would also lay to rest the whining, complaining, pissing and moaning that has been going on for weeks.
