Name me a republican that could have contested the results in any one close state that would have given him a victory. I don't know of any. I don't think Nixon or Ford qualify.

If the roles had been reversed in this election I truly believe that Bush would have asked for a recount and Gore would have basically done just about what Bush has done to stop it. The difference for me would have been is that I would not be here defending Gore if Bush had contested.
