Market Preview for Tuesday... Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] after Monday's close said it now expects to earn $0.50 to $0.60 a share in the fourth quarter, citing a PC slowdown. Analysts polled by First Call predicted $0.68 a share. Dallas Semiconductor [DS] late Monday said it expects fourth-quarter sales 5 to 7% below expectations and now estimates its fourth-quarter profit to be in the range of $0.34 to $0.37 a share, compared with the $0.44 a share expected by First Call. General Motors [GM] plans to announce a restructuring of its Oldsmobile unit on Tuesday morning, Automotive News said after Monday's close. Microchip Technology [MCHP] late Monday said third-quarter revenue would be flat, on a sequential basis, due to an inventory correction among distributors. After Monday's close, Honeywell [HON] said it expects fourth-quarter earnings per share to range from $0.70 to $0.74. Analysts were expecting $0.86.
