*Re: "Why we have to stop counting if we are simply interested to have the right number of the election votes in Florida?"* In the hearing today, it became clear, from the number of questions on the subject, that if the count is re-started, it will have to be with a different, uniform standard. So it seems that stopping the recount was actually a humanitarian act. Imagine how depressing it would have been for the people who were heroically trying to get them all counted by the deadline, only to find after it was done that they had to go back in and do it all over again, under a new set of standards.
