It's not certain that Gore would win, especially with a very strict standard, but it's still likely imho. Remember that rejected ballots tend to come disproportionately from inner city districts that have old voting machines and didn't have ballot-checking equipment that told voters whether their ballots were readable or not.

jeff, it is a travesty when a nice idea is trampled by brutal facts ;-)

i agree. this election was too close to call. gore knows it. why do you think he didn't take the high road? he didn't want to risk losing.

how someone can be sick of bush's clear entitlement feeling while not seeing that gore is up there (more, imho, but i could be wrong) is beyond my comprehension.
