The new Intel Solution Provider Program brings together industry-leading companies that work with Intel Internet Media Services to provide value-added services, including encoding, ad insertion, indexing, networking, production, and other important solutions. These value-added services, coupled with Intel's state-of-the-art content distribution network, will allow Intel to offer customers complete end-to-end solutions for streaming their content. Initial U.S. solution providers in the program include Digital Planet, Excalibur Technologies Corporation, Loudeye Technologies, Inc., Media 100, MediaOnDemand.com, PlaceWare, and other companies. European providers include Convergent, FibroTelecom Interactive and Rivercast. Excalibur's participation in the Solution Provider Program will be continued by Convera, a new company being formed by Intel and Excalibur.
