<ot>Hi Shaw - you ve made many many good points with your post. However, I think he cut it too close b/c of $$$. Take me and my stock mkt experience as an example, I didn't want to sell some of my holdings at the bottom of the mkt, but when I was on the verge of margin call, I had to do something. No one is perfect, but one must make some judgement. Sometimes, even hindsight is not 20/20 <G>! OOH, if the campaign has planned more carefully like that of the GOP, probably there would not have been as many overvotes. That said, some of the instructions did gear toward the better educated. If your granddad is one of the founders of headstart, maybe you know about the controversy of the IQ test [I think it was the Stanford Benet (sp?)] in the 50s. It was geared toward middle class white. Surprise, the poor and the non white flunked out left and right. Did the latter lag in intelligence? No. It is b/c the test was less intuitive to them b/c of their environment. Still, the democrat get-out-the-vote team should have helped to familiarise its constituents more.

best, Bosco

To anyone, please feel free to pass this post and my previous one, on too the Supreme Court, if you feel it will help define the situation.

For the first time in 20 years, I sat with periferal power. I had Turkey dinner with Boies's new N.Y. partner. I told this lawyer that I voted for Gore, but felt Gore was over reaching at this point, Boies's partner had no comment.

I think this time out period has been positive for the mkt. The mkt used this time to get rid of over valuation, that needed to go. Now the mkt. can move forward, off a more stable base.

The race is over, we have spent enough time on this, it is time to move on.

There may be positive reasons beyond are understanding, and controle as to why things turned out this way.
