the other side is best exemplified by the brokerage ad campaigns. from "be bullish" to "this time it's different" they display the prevalent sentiment perfectly...utter complacency, zero belief that the party might be over, deeply ingrained bull market habits.

i heard again today the comparison of 2000 with 1994...and i wonder, how come the people issuing this crap are in the positions they are in? (this one was a fund manager, overseeing a fair chunk of OPM). in NO WAY do the two years compare....the difference being that the bubble was in its infancy in '94, while it has now expanded to incredible proportions. it is amazing how naive the 'other side' is.
