Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security (paid for with the general fund, not payroll taxes per se), welfare, education expenditures, the progressive tax code, attempts to create nationalized daycare, etc...

Just because entitlements exist and I'll get SS when I retire, doesn't make them a great thing. Tell you what, how about the government gives me back all the money that I've invested and my employer has matched and my supposed 2% and I'll take a pass on that entitlement.
