maybe a dumb question....but can you legally front run short ahead of selling your long position on an institutional scale?? if you happen to pick a bottom while doing that you'd be pretty brilliant wouldn't you?

I've never seen historical CoT figures. I always see j6p "buying the dips" and made an obviously erroneous conclusion about their historical position in spoos except at true capitulation stages, which we haven't seen imo.
