Hi E.T.,

I'm not good at really short term movement.

I agree with Wilyolvet on SH though that someone is
going to shake the stock soon if there's no news
release.

Offset to that is the rumour that several institutions
now want to take a position.

But I understand what you're really looking for and when
I see something, I'll post.

Wolf

I don't think it is a question of investment sophistication as it is observation. The stock opens and moves up in the morning and pulls back and lags and all buys are in the gap and not necessarily at the bid or offer.Last 4 trading sessions it gets hoppy in the last hour.To-day may be the exception but I doubt it.I think it is poised to move up and I smell a news release or something is in the pipe.It is being accumulated reflecting this IMHO.Time will tell.I can say it is being traded right now in a very professional manner and they do appear to be in the drivers seat from what I am seeing.

Hi E.T.:

But what I was thinking in terms of making money on DMX was that we could collectively identify potential morning gap ups we might want to sell into in the hope of a retracement later in the day.

I think this type of discussion would be more suitable on a thread that focuses on the daily movement of stocks (e.g. chief's trading thread). I suspect that most of the investors on this thread are more concerned with the long-term movement of the stock as opposed to the daily gaps and later day retracements.

O/T VERY LONG AND DETAILED POST ABOUT MY THOUGHTS:

My observation over the past few days is that the thrust of
this thread tilts towards the longer term investor, as it always has, and that the shorter-term investor may be hurt on the optimism conveyed by the long-term camp. Every spike up or every news announcement will obviously be embellished from the LT-camp. That's just to be expected considering how long some have followed this company.

The past several days' posts have culminated in the frustrations shared by many posters over this grueling "wait-and-see" type management-style employed by DMX. By this I mean that the gyrations of the stock price have caused many of us to lose focus on why we are in this stock to begin with.

I don't profess to be an expert trader but every individual investor should establish, at a minimum, their own personal investment strategy concerning this stock, or any other stock for that matter.

To allow other poster's to influence YOUR DECISION because that poster believes that this stock will rocket to $20/share, $50/share, $75/share or whatever, is foolish IMO. Allowing yourself to succumb to OTHER PEOPLE'S DECISIONS shows a lack of basic investment discipline.

I was the first to indicate back in November 1999 that I was 100% OUT OF DMX because of the announcement that the Princess Margaret Hospital researcher's have found a cure for arthritis. It was later determined that they were still many years away from discovering a cure.

Did I care that many on this thread didn't sell?? NO! The fact remains that I acted on MY OWN INTUITION and that the money I had made on this stock was realized. I later bought back my shares after many posters researched into this finding and downplayed the researcher's claim. I, too, researched the implications, and after determining that the researchers still had much work to do, I bought back.

I later indicated in July of this year that I was kicked out on a stop-loss at around the $8.25/$8.30 range. Some posters indicated that that was a bad decision. So what??? In hindsight that proved to be the right decision for me!! What others do is their business. There is no such thing as the right/wrong decision. The only thing that counts is that the decision was made BY YOU!!

Chat boards should be a forum to obtain information from other's and to share investment experiences in order for all to benefit. However, if one's expectations is to profit based on others' opinions is foolhardy.

I respect the fact that some poster's detail out their objectives for this company. It gives me a chance to view how other's have assessed the risk/reward of this company.

I do my own DD and act upon my own research. When I need help I ask for it. But in no way do I let other poster's optimism/pessimism sway my investment objectives.

Good luck to all!!
