The statute requires that the "election officials" must examine the ballot for a clear indication, not that "Don Juan Demarco" must examine them.

Under Florida statute, as posted verbatim to this board, ballot is to be examined by a team of at least two people, preferably from different parties, with any disputes to be resolved by the county canvassing board.

This is the law. If you don't like the law, please write to your Florida state representative and ask him/her to change the law.
