Florida law allowed for Gore to make the request he did. Bush is the first candidate I've ever heard of, during my 30 years of closely following political contests, who refused his opponent the right for a recount, this after Gore was down 327 out of six million votes cast. Nice guy, that Bush!

Regarding your dimpled chads degradation, you seem to not mind that GOPwinger political operatives were camped out in the Seminole County voting office, transcribing the wrong voter ID numbers to GOP ballot requests. Had Republicans gotten the same treatment the Democrats got there, it'd be Gore who'd be up and Bush requesting the recounts.

Try thinking of the whole picture, will ya?
