Just read that INTC will freeze capex in 2000. Did you hear the same? BTW, when does SUNW preannounce? 1st or 2nd week of Jan?

As for ML -- been there, done that (although in the pre-online days; they were my first broker, as I recall). I did like their London office, though. Paine Webber and Fidelity are also on my blacklist, although at times PW did give me exceptional service, and as I recall I didn't have problems with Fido until I switched from the Houston office to the Austin office. Of course, all those experiences were quite a while ago; I've been using Schwab for years. Maybe I would see problems with anybody after long enough use. JMHO. Charles Tutt (TM)
