IBM and CIC to Demonstrate Proven
Program Solutions at PalmSource 2000

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Communication Intelligence Corporation (``CIC'') (Nasdaq:
CICI - news), bringing you ``The Power to Sign Online(TM)'', announced today that together with IBM (NYSE: IBM -
news) it will demonstrate its array of offerings for the IBM WorkPad® - Palm OS based handheld devices at the
PalmSource(TM) conference 2000. The conference is being held from December 12th through the 15th in Santa Clara,
CA. This event is sponsored annually by Palm, Inc., (Nasdaq: PALM - news) and provides attendees with platform
technology presentations, industry perspectives, Palm(TM) and licensee product showcases, interactive labs and
stimulating keynote addresses.

``Although we have experienced significant success in the sales of our solutions to consumers through our own website,
we expect increasing revenue due to the significant incremental exposure, to enterprise customers, that PalmSource and
other IBM sales and promotional programs will provide. In addition, we are heartened by the rave reviews CIC is
already receiving from IBM field sales representatives based on initial customer contacts,'' said Robert Williams, Vice
President of Aftermarket Sales for CIC.

IBM will be demonstrating CIC's solutions at the conference, including Jot®, WordComplete(TM), QuickNotes(TM)
and Sign-On(TM) applications running on the IBM WorkPad.

Jot is a character-based recognizer that was developed by CIC after years of research in the field of pattern recognition.
The product is ideally suited for wireless information devices because it offers a fast and highly accurate means of
entering text on small devices. QuickNotes takes your handwriting and saves it exactly as you write it. WordComplete is
like shorthand for your Palm connected organizer. This utility helps to speed text entry time and accuracy by offering a
pop-up pick list of words once you have entered a few letters. Sign-On is the first log-on/password security utility for
Palm connected organizers that uses biometric signature verification to keep the data on your Palm safe. Sign-On will
allow you and only you to gain access to the data on your Palm organizer. Just sign your name and Sign-On will verify
your signature to unlock the device.
