Mike,

The futures turned around sharply on the election news.

I think we could see a serious rally through year end and into early next year unless the news on the economic front deteriorates.

Mike, Election mess should be settled tomorow.

What PUT positions are you starting.
I know you can not give spreads, but hopefully ypu can name the stocks.

I am thinking of MER and C
Are there better choices.
I know you do not like leaps but I just may go that way.
Long time to be right and time decay will be very very slow.
If these stocks start bouncing I can also gain on time premium because of volatility (correct?).

Michael et al. -- i have a nice 50% profit in some recently bought LU LEAPS (Jan 2003 calls at 25). i'd thought of them as a long-term play, but now LU at 20 with takeover rumors (unlikely, i think). i've never held calls in the face of a takeover -- any cautions, etc? thanks.
