It's becoming clear that most Canadians fall into one of two categories "beneficiaries and contributors" comes immediately to mind

<In fact, they are forced to kiss the rings and arses of their Liberal MPs, many of whom they totally loath. They also know that a reform MP would have spoken on their behalf: Their Liberal MP, cowering under His Majesty Jean the Perpetual, wouldn't utter a peep in opposition to the party Line>

Really is the CA any different than any other party in this repect. Alliance MP's toe the party line just like the other parties MP's. Do you think Day would stand for an MP straying from his positions or his party line anymore than Jean, Joe, or Alexa? Day was quick to rebuff comments by Jason Kenny on a two tier health care.

Well how about the 20-30% of Albertans who didn't vote for the CA. The system works both ways on that front. How do you think I feel, my MP is CA Rob Anders. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. Here I am, in what is supposedly one of the highest educated populations in NA, and a guy like Anders gets 70% of the votes in my riding. I can assure you most of those who so happily voted for him, had no idea who he really was. All they know was that his name came with the requisite blue and green logo on the signs on their neighbors yards. The PC's had a very crediable candidate in my riding (actually former reformer Jim Silye - a well respected business man and politician)and he gets creamed by 20 something Anders.

At it's very heart, democracy is nothing more than mob rule. In Alberta the mob is strong.
