Bush is going to find himself between a rock and a hard place. $40 oil awaits us easy if these draws continue, and as I mentioned, the only way to put back that HO is to sacrifice gasoline. He's going to become very unpopular if as soon as he's elected the energy complex goes f*ckin bananas. That said, I think a Bush election will trigger massive exploration by the majors, who he is both politically allied with by virtue of his past as well as financially supported. Hence the OSX call. He also will not be kind to price caps for NG and such.

Will he open up the SPR? I think he will if the poor start freezing, but short of that, no. Afterall, how many northern states voted for him? More to the point, how many voted against him?

BTW, Check your PM, I suggested a short b/c of this whole fertilizer/ng conundrum. I haven't finished looking at it.
