I have never said that, Victor. Misrepresenting others' positions is grounds for the hook. Don't do it.

... surfing the WWW on a tiny cellphone.

Maybe you are right, and I incorrectly responded to your message. I agree that "surfing" the WWW using a small cell phone does not compare to using a PC...and that the screen size needs to improve, as well as the bandwidth available.

However, IMO there are some uses and advantages to having Internet access available for a handheld device or cell phone. Checking breaking news, using ESPN to find a sports score, using MapQuest to map and find directions to a specific location and to check on possible traffic delays, checking UPS for a shipping order, going to Bank of America to send a check from your account to pay a specific bill, going to EBay (to check on your bid for the gold bracelet for your wife)...... All of these are possible using a cell phone...but IMO they would only be used for a specific reason.

IMO when the average consumer sees a benefit and decides to pay for this service, when new, higher-bandwidth for wireless is available....then the wireless Internet will be more of a reality. For some of us it is a reality now...but one that as you mentioned needs some improvements, and is most likely in its early stages of development.
