An interesting, albeit admittedly subjective, comment relating to the idea of Nirvana from one of my favorite writers, Henry Corbin:

"...the infinite price attached to spiritual individuality makes it inconceivable that salvation could consist in its absorption into a totality, even a mystical one."

I can't vouch for how true this may or may not be, but it's a sentiment that seems worth considering.

I agree. I like the softer voice. Club me over the head and I get pissed off. Threaten me and I get really pissed off. Buddhism doesn't do that- so I like it.
