The fat lady will be singing soon. Please remain seated afterwards for the cover up. The ballots will not be examined by anyone for 100 years.

If Bush 'gets' the presidency be ready for the following:

1) The eyes and pulse of the nation will look toward Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms. Both are in the senate from states which have Democrat governors, and both will have a hard time holding on healthwise. If either one of 'em leaves the Senate, Democrats take complete control.

2) Dick Cheney's now gonna be real mad. As the tie-breaker in the Senate, he'll have to vote a lot. And based on his voting behavior the past five years, having failed to vote 14 out of the past 16 elections leading up to this one, this could be a problem for him. (LOL)

3) Florida's vote count will finally become known, as many, many organizations will attempt to count the vote while applying the Florida legislature's legal standard: The Will and Intent of the Voter.

Will and Intent of the voter? In Florida? The fact that this wasn't determined before Bush 'taking' the presidency, will mean that Bush, the Republican Party and the Rehnquist Court will carry a heavy burden, one which forever will be frowned upon in history.

Re: "If the SC hadn't stopped the re-counts two days ago it would be finished now and we'd know who really won."

No we wouldn't. By a 7-2 margin the court said that FSC ordered count would be unfair. They were right. This is the bottom line.
