FWIW: from my broker World Stock Markets It seems that a bit of a year-end rally may be in the works. Several of the major world indices are now showing positive trend & momentum ratings, indicating upside potential over the next few weeks. In the context of the continuing economic slowdown worldwide, however, this should not be mistaken for a reversal of the longer-term bear trend. It is important to note that the Nasdaq is still trending definitively down, along with the TSE and the broadest U.S. index, the Wilshire 5000.
