Elmer,

The feeble minded liberal press at work:

Gracious concession
could help Gore

WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 — NBC Washington bureau chief Tim Russert looks at Tuesday’s U.S. Supreme Court decision and says as of midnight Dec. 12, George W. Bush is president-elect. But if Al Gore handles his exit properly, he can, in effect, become a “shadow president.”

Thanks, Tim Russert. If Al Gore exits graciously, he can disappear from the political scene forever.

If he has any brains, he will challenge every single voting inequity discussed so far, based on the the new low-bar standard set by the USSC.

Divided Supreme Court Clears the Way for Bush
Gore urged to concede after justices bar Florida recount

Carolyn Lochhead, Carla Marinucci, San Francisco Chronicle Political Writers

In an extraordinary late-night ruling, a fractured U.S. Supreme Court blocked the ballot recounts ordered by the Florida Supreme Court, effectively securing the presidency for Texas Gov. George W. Bush.

The historic 5-to-4 decision shattered Vice President Al Gore's hopes for a recount of disputed Florida votes and all but ended the most bitterly contested presidential election in 124 years.

And many more of this morning's newspaper headlines.
