One of the interesting things about INTC is their recent announcement, that, in the face of slowing PC sales they are increasing their R & D budget next year from $6 billion to 6.5 billion. larry

Maybe Intel isn't hungry at the moment.

The one point that hasn't been discussed here questioning Intel's Gorilla status and the way it acts is:

Perhaps we are forgetting that Tarzan (the Feds) has threatened to blow the Gorilla out of the tree. And Intel is being a nice Gorilla in playing with the chimp and monkeys.
