As the facts come to light in the months ahead

I voted for Gore and I don't think it will ever be possible to know the facts about this election.

As someone who has given many computer scored exams, I think that the idea that votes that were unreadable by machine cannot be accurately read is a misnomer that was propagated by the Republicans (as was the idea that the ballots "degraded" by handling over a month's time, which was RIDICULOUS). Much of the time, it is very easy to see what someone's intended answer was by eyeballing a scantron card that the computer couldn't read for some reason (smudge on the card, eraser mark, etc). While I know that this wasn't the case with ALL of the undervotes, I would bet that MANY could be discerned (and will be when they are examined by independent news organizations and others).
There is a reason that the Bush people fought so hard to have the ballots go uncounted.

Doubya won a tainted presidency. Let's hope that his handlers know what they're doing.

I agree that our energies MUST be focused on fixing the system that caused all of this confusion, expense, and doubt, as opposed to trying to correct some arguably valid injustice, or failure, or (you name it here).

I, for one, will be personally campaigning for such action by my representatives (even though they are conservative Republicans). It is in their best interest to do so, since I shall also be campaigning for their next race to be a close one.
