a truely trusted non partisan (gauranteed neutral) election system (how to do this is the problem but, the current way leaves a lot to be desired).

Simple. Use technology already avaiable. Touch screen with positve feedback will insure that one votes for the candidate one wants to. No punched cards. No look behind to make sure chad is torn. No 20 different machines in different polling stations with poor neighbourhoods getting the oldest type machine (which the justice dept. is going to investigate and spend more money than putting up touch screens in the first place).

And with all the computers tied together we could even get the resluts the 'moment' the booths are closed. Of course we wait for the last booth to close anywhere in the antion.
