Kennedy & O'Connor do not want their finger prints on this decision. Notice how they wrote no opinion. They are embarassed about this decision. They do not want to associate themselves with the Bush partisans - Scalia, Thomas and Rehnquist who are proud to sabotage Gore's election.

Klock would argue against Gore's recount by stating that the voters must follow explicit instructions; however, I doubt he'd have made the same argument regarding the Seminole and Martin County absentee ballot issue even though those voters were also required to follow explicit instructions. What do you think?

The voters in Martin and Seminole followed instruction.

"What do you think?"

I think Al Gore started a WAR by trying to dig up anything he could to steal the election that he was NEVER ahead in (save me the crap about the popular vote). Beck, Klock and Richards all did a masterful job of protecting their clients from ALL of Gore's tactics.

Again, I will say MASTERFUL. Gore's attorneys as you know included Boise and Tribe. Two of the very best lawyers in the WORLD. If they could not win Gore's position, then the position must have been very tenuous indeed.

<I didn't feel it'd be right to eliminate 25,000 of the two county's absentee votes, most of which were cast sincerely.>

Partytime -

Was there ANY evidence that some of the 25K were not cast sincerely? Huh?
