The pe of this stock will depend, among other things, on market sentiment and the generosity of the market. With the Nas cut nearly in half and the tech sector in the toilet, can't expect much for a company in that sector who warns of an earnings short fall. Anyone remember what the pe of CPQ was when it sat for some time at 18 about a year ago? It was probably much higher as the general market sentiment was better and as a result, the Nas in general was healthier and happier. Of course then the tech stocks were flying and pc and hardware sales truly were "robust," for everyone but CPQ. It does seem that with CPQ continuing to improve its numbers and with the company providing a solid outlook for the future that a nearly 50% decline in the stock over a 90 day period is a rather dramatic.
