You will be surprised at how few people will be annoyed by that, but go ahead and remind them anyway.

IF THERE ARE 2,000,000 undervotes nationwide, who is to say if Al Gore really did win the United States popular vote? I mean if Bush has no legitimate claim to Florida as you imply, then using the same logic, Gore has no claim to the popular vote.

Am I wrong???

They have not finished counting the vote, and we could have had our own contests in various states. I have no idea who really won the popular vote.......

You know, maybe this is a crazy assumption, but I would have thought that a lawyer at least would know something about the U.S. Constitution and Article II.

The way I read it, the national popular vote is not relevant to establish a Constitutional government. It is not a sufficient condition nor is it a required condition to elect a president.

Just reminding you that Gore won popular vote by over 300,000 votes.

How can you say that with over 1 million votes uncounted!

Ken your a liar in the partisan sense of the word!

Your guy persuaded 23.4% of the body politic to vote for him.

Why are you so obstinate that you can not even accord those you plunder with their rights as citizens of this country.

AL Gore Lost the election because +75% of the body politic did not choose him. You want to persist in your largess because you owe some part of your livlihood to it. Those of us out here being plundered want you to stop.

Can you deal with the truth? Can you for once thank those of us who have contributed thus far to helping enrich those you support? Is it inconcievable for you to say, hey we might be wrong here.Recognize your foundation is based on a faulty premise.

You diminish everyone with your argument, and if you want, I'll send you an email a day for the next 4 years to help remind you!

Just reminding you that Gore won popular vote by over 300,000 votes. You will hear this reminder on a daily basis for the next
four years. I know it annoys you but get used to it.

Just amusing that you think it is important in a Republic.

Don't you think that if this had been a popular vote election, Bush could have gotten another 300,000 or 2-3M votes in Texas alone? It was an electoral vote race, get over it.

Ken:

As an attorney you should know this fact is legally irrelevant. How often was Kennedy reminded of the narrow margin he won the presidency of Nixon in 1960. Granted, Kennedy won by a narrow margin in the popular vote, but there were sufficient irregularities in that election to question Kennedy's legitimacy. History shows that if Bush does a good job, your "reminder" will soon be forgotten.

Again, get over it.

Gore couldn't win his own state as an incumbent with world peace and the strongest econemy ever.

I hope gore remembers how to raise chickens and grow tobacco.

There was over a million absentee ballots not counted, therefore Bush probably won the popular vote too.

I don't know if this bothers Gordon, but I can assure you it does not bother me in the slightest. I really think it is the dems that are bothered by this. Must be frustrating.
