Scumbria,

One of the amendments to the constitution limits the president to 2 terms in total. Some other term limited offices, like mayor of NYC are limited to 2 consecutive terms, but I don't believe it's the case with POTUS.

Probably for the same reason Reagan didn't run again in 1988, despite being well-loved by most Americans.

OK, so Reagan's health was also an issue, but I'll bet he would have easily won a third term if he had the chance. Can you honestly say the same thing about Bill Clinton? Even Al Gore kept his distance from his former running mate.

Besides, isn't there something in the Constitution that you are missing? Something about no president serving more than two terms?

Scumbria, Clinton cannot be President of the US again unless the US Constitution changes. Read the 22nd amendment:

Clinton has twice been elected already.
