Hi Tom -

The Idiot Wave stopped declining? #$%&@#! Back to my ruminations. I'm almost out of money and want to add to
Financials and Utilities as well. Of course, my buy signals exceed my funds.

I do have a tidbit though. Morning Star has finally given UOPIX a rating. Five stars! Can't get any better than that. The company rating is also a five (best). They describe it as high risk and high return. I guess we know that though, don't we? There is a lot of data on the "Quick Take" report (no charge, you just have to register).

Earlier, I tried to read this week's commentary on your web site but I got last week's instead. I'll try again later.

Gotta go, it's time for my next anxiety attack...

Hey Tom,

yes, everyone is somewhat nervous because we never got
"capitulation" - close, but no cigar...

so what I am seeing is techs calling for a rally to 3200 to 3500 (COMPX) and then a retest of the lows

I would also point out that the NDX has two gaps to fill on the breakout from the recent low, and my experience is that it does fill them

the lowest measured low I have seen for the third leg of the NDX bear market is 1919, and that is currently what I am feeding into my scale -

I am considering adding 40% cash to my UOPIX account so that I can double my scales on the way down - that would allow me to "retain" several hundred shares on the way up and thus considerably reduce my average cost - the idea here would be to out flank any extended trading range that might leave me sitting at a loss for extended periods

in the mean time, I guess no one really has a clue about the next twist and turn - to me, today's market simple means that a Bush Presidency has already been priced in and the reality of it doesnt really matter...

the fundamentals are terrible and I think that I expect a lot of backing and filling until such time as the Fed actually cuts rates
