Good advice, Lane, and yes, I do prefer very select stock like RHAT@6, ATML@9-3/4, on the long etc. In other words beaten down stocks that are fundamentally undervalued. Problem with shorting is that I don't like options that much because of the manipulation and high premiums and I don't have a lot of "payroll" in my "fun" account to short many $100 stocks without doing options.

You and Jenna are of course, right, however, in that being just as capable to short as go long is the best way to be for maximum success. T/A is also crucial and I am weaker there than I should be, so I play it safer than I otherwise would.

However, NTIQ was a no-brainer short.
