That's very outdated news already (yesterday's), and since then, the FL Supreme Court affirmed both lower court opinions. Nice try, though.

PT, it's over. Gore lost. Give it up.

We know this breaks your heart, but you've got to adjust to it and accept it. Come back in 4 years.

It's over, OK.

By the way, whether Bush's lawyers argued inconsistently, although it might make an interesting political issue, is legally irrelevant. But it is not even demonstrable that they were inconsistent. It is one thing to not set aside votes on a minor point, and another to arrogate the right to establish fundamental timetables and procedures bearing on the election.

Florida Supreme Court ruled against that argument yesterday and further ruled that no rehearings would be allowed. It's a dead dog.

Headline: S.S. ALGORE SUNK BY OWN TORPEDO

Dateline Tallahassee Fl.

While engaged in battle the Stinky Ship Algore was sunk by its own torpedo.

The first injurious shot, however was fired by the Florida Ship Florida Supreme Court, and was aimed at the Florida Secretary Ship K. Harris. The FSC fired a volley of Deadline torpedoes. Damaged, the FSS Harris was forced to retreat.

The Algore was safely firing missiles and deadline torpedoes under the protection of the Florida Supreme Court and had struck some hits on the TSS George Bush, when the U.S.S. Supreme Court arrived on the scene. Together with her escorts USS Constitution and USS Federal Code, they fired shots across the bow of the FSS Florida Supreme Court. The USS Supreme Court then dis-engaged.

Then the FCS Sauls joined the battle and intercepted and destroyed the Algore missiles, as the USS Constitution and Federal Code scored direct hits to the Algore.

Seeing that the SS Algore was in trouble, the RSS (Really stinky ship) Harry Jacobs arrived on the scene. The Jacobs fired two shots, however the targeting mechanism was mis-aligned and hit a glancing blow to the Algore. Unable to correct the problem the RSS Harry Jacobs was forced to retreat.

As the battle was drawing to an end, the F.S.S. Legislature arrived on the scene, by her side were two escorts, again Old Ironsides (That’s the USS Constitution for the historically challenged) and the USS Federal Code. All three ships aimed their guns and fired across the bow of the FSS Florida Supreme Court.

Undaunted by the Constitution, the FSS Supreme Court fired again and hit the George Bush. Then the USS Supreme Court returned and fired upon the FSS Supreme Court, scoring 7 hits.

FSS Legislature, Constitution and the Federal Code, then turned their guns squarely to the Algore.

But the fatal shot was fired by the SS Algore it self. Apparently one of the deadline torpedoes was still in the water and attempting to acquire a target while the Algore maneuvered, and acquired the Algore.

Said one sailor aboard the FSS Legislature “I was just about to pull the trigger when we saw the explosion port side of the Algore”. “It was amazing” said another sailor, “even as she was sinking she kept firing”.

Later, the FSS Supreme Court, burning and listing, was run aground. The crew abandoned ship and went ashore. The FSS Legislature launched landing parties, and were seen to be chasing the FSC crew with swords drawn.

There will be for a memorial service the Algore somewhere in Tennessee, but attendance is expected to be light.

Free at last, free at last, Lord Almighty, we're free at last!

NO MORE CLINTON!
NO MORE GORE!

It's just really starting to sink in.

The long national nightmare is over.

The most repugnant administration ever to soil the national capital will soon be gone.
And it leaves no successor.

It's over.
