I absolutely agree with you on this one, but I have no problem with it. The whole reason for my satisfaction with the decision is that I think neither the court or the legislature should be able to change the rules in the middle of the game - even if the result is unfair. You should make things fair for the next election.

I think it is ironic that if Florida had the same rules as Texas we would have had a manual count with standards already defined and in all probability Gore would have won.

Maybe this means Bush is a lot smarter than people give him credit for. He signed a bill that would have prevented this kind of nonsense from happening in his own state.
