I agree 100%. Imagine if Bush were to push his tax cut through before anyone realizes the surpluses are gone.

Any idea how much cap gains factor into gov money percentage wise? I'm getting ready to cut them a 6 figure check, and sure many are on this thread also, but there's no way in hell this even comes close to denting how many Clowns are paying ZERO tax this year. Hell I even know some Clowns that will be getting refunds they lost so much and were paying taxes on income all year.

Yes. And receipts are going to go way down if we no longer have a raging bull market and the associated cap gains. We really are screwed as we should have been retiring debt like crazy during the good times to give a cushion for the lean times.
