John K., <You have a touchscreen with large PICTURES of each candidate. When you touch the picture, a soothing voice announces (in the language of your choice of course) 'you are voting for xxx, are you sure'. You get a final change to confirm at that point.>

There were some people who defended counting dimpled chads by saying that senior citizens "don't have the strength to push through a chad." I'll bet those same people will argue that senior citizens have bad eyesight and can't hear very well, so the voting system you described unfairly discriminates against them. <G>

Regardless, shouldn't the "soothing voice" be the voice of Regis Philbin, asking "Is that your final answer?" Gotta use phrases that every American will understand, you know. <VBG>
