Jerry and Bill, Thanks for your stories. They have allowed us to share in your experiences, thoughts, and reactions vicariously and better prepare us for our own future decisions. fwiw, my dad retired from the business he himself started and turned over to my brothers after 35 years. Then after a year away he returned to work without pay or any decision making role - that's how he prefers it. Funny thing is when he was really "working" he used to take Wednesdays off. Now he works every day. Just as Lindy knows he's the best home improvement salesman anywhere, my dad know he's the best damn horologist anywhere and without him some things would never be repaired correctly. The lesson I learned is that having attained a retirement goal doesn't mean it must be claimed. There are many more important rewards to working than financial, imo. I hope you guys once again experience them. Rory
