Ted, I'm waiting for VRTA to warn, then I'm going back long. Also today, I sold Dell @ $21 3/8 and JUST bought CPQ @ $18.60 (decimal thing is odd). Only three hundred shares - I'm a little worried about DELL warning.

Just an update -

Dave,

Dell won't warn til next month. Check out ISSI...just gave guidance that its doing better than expected this quarter.

Also AREM...its been flirting with its old hi of 50..just bounced off of it..I expect it to go back to the mid 30's where I will pick up some again and ride up. Company is doing really well. Also sticking with the fiber optics and networking stocks. They seem to be the only ones with any real strength.

Also check out ENE...its moving like a rocket. And I picked up some SUNW at 31 today, thats $62 presplit vs $130 a month and half ago.....they just moved up from 4th to 2nd place behind IBM in the server market. Everyone is selling, first because someone started a rumor re accounting irregularites, and then because of the PC preannouncements. Bought some also for my 401 along with Intel.

Finally starting to make $$$ again. As for VRTA I can't understand why it and GSPN both have not warned. I can't figure out from where their business is coming.

Dave,

Update: After MSFT's warning today, forget what I said about ISSI, SUNW and AREM. Will be unloading most of my tech in the next week. Plan to increase my positions in ENE, BEAV, KOSP and WFC.

It looks like the economics are getting worse and the chances of a recession increasing......although I still don't think we will have one. Even with the Feds rate reduction in January, it doesn't look like tech will be moving all that quick for a while.
