But you know the talk will turn to Fed easing or bias changing tomorrow or Friday in advance of Tuesday's Fed meeting. That is why things could turn over the next 24 hours or so. Plus we have options expiration and there is a desire to stomp on people who bet on the long side, then stomp on people that bet on the short side. It's all such a game. We may get some wild swings tomorrow, while Friday may be more calm.

I sure agree though that Q1 looks tough. I am hoping for one more good rally at least so shorts for January are set up more nicely.

In this situation I would be holding some put positions overnight. We are short NTIQ, RIMM (puts)MUSE (option puts) covered ANEN.We were long long AMCC but took profits. We covered BEAS but I think it still has downside. ADBE is a short but I might not be holding more than some puts through Thursday and not necessarily through earnings. We were short SNDK, covered and never got a buy stop filled. A few buy stops were filled but most were good for 1 or 2 points and than they fizzled. I would not be holding short positions... shorts can get stuck in a morning rally while we are just waiting in the morning to capitalize on a trend change in the first reversal period or maybe the second.
