IMHO, whatever Gore does from here on in he does ON HIS OWN, and thereby will sink or swim ALONE. Very few Democrats, except those extremists of his innermost circle (i.e. Daly, Jackson vs. Lieberman, Rendell) will be the only one's to stand behind him, win, lose or draw.

Gore's conduct tends to remind me of the Japanese army in the days immediately preceding the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. While refusing to admit defeat and to never give up, which is admirable and honorable, at the same time acting with stupidity due to an intransigence that is likely to lead to irreparable harm not only to oneself, but also to those whose interests one believes one is acting to protect, but in-fact causing the irreparable harm.

Gore is turning out to be a sad and pitiful character, one that I would hope would never ever assume the office of President of the United States.
