i see. imo that's stupidity at work, just as it was stupidity that made them chase MU in the face of collapsing DRAM prices. the issues of credit quality, syndicated loans, questionable commercial paper, etc. are just too complicated for most fund managers...they think 'long bond yield falling = buy banks'. there will be an ultra-rude awakening. because if that formula really worked, we'd all have had to buy Japanese banks in 1990...lol.
