As Rory Heiner will have noted, ROYL has closed at 7 again. I continue to hold 42% of my original number of shares, having completely recovered the investment in my IRA and put it into HGT for safekeeping (I hope). ROYL is going show hugely higher profits in its next report, having sold 70% of its December output at nearly $15 inside California and probably having got spot prices day by day as high as $60 on the rest.

So why did I sell 58%? When something is too good to be true it usually is, so I will settle for 42% too good to be true.

Am waiting to see if those California prices somehow make their way back in some smaller way to the San Juan Basin and Permian Basin where most of the gas crossing the border comes from. Surely El Pas Eenergy can't scalp 85% of their selling price from the Permian Basin and San Juan Basin Royalty Trusts (PBT, SJT). Disclosing interests, I have owned PBT for about ten years and just bought SJT.
