I've got Campaign Finance Reform for you:

1. Every American and only Americans should be allowed to give freely to the candidate of their choice without limits.

2. That being said, if such American is found to expect or receive favors for such contribution, throw him or her and the candidate in jail for a very long time.

3. No corporation should be allowed to contribute one dime.

4. Owner of corporation can give as much as he or she wants following above rules.

5. No unions should be allowed to contribute one penny.

6. PACS are okay with 100% disclosure and abiding by above rules.

Any questions?

Re: "Campaign finance is a minor issue ... Bush will win or lose on the big issues ... recession."

Unfortunately, I suspect you may well be right.

In any event, the Gang of Five on the USSC will strike down any form of campaign finance reform as unconstitutional. It's all likely an exercise in futility anyway.
